Hidden infant cake swaddled in a ziplock bag.
Ants.
Ants in January?
An ecologically-cocky tone cloned earlier
finding a heating oven empty.
Mind if I turn this off?
Ask the ready-anxious loaves.
Okay, Mrs. Always-Right, those were Thursday ants.

The day was French and Roman,
Elegantly royal and bonneted
Couples strolled though the gardens
Forgetting nights,
Lingering near the herbal mint,
Anticipating derby days
Equine and English.
