Usual Suspects and Company Cookbook

On March 30, 2009, I sent this message to the Usual Suspects and Company: Proposal for Usual Suspects and Company Cookbook
From Cilanti

A few days ago Margie, Priscilla, Viv, and I had a conversation about creating a Usual Suspects and Company Cookbook. Everyone knows I have photos of everyone that could accompany the recipes.

Here’s my proposal. Would everyone who would like/is willing to submit recipes, provide me with five to ten recipes no later than midnight June 1? (I just added the midnight to make this sound really official). Also, people can suggest recipes they would like to have from others. For example, I know people want Priscilla’s multi-grain bread recipe. I think Malcolm should include his formula for concocting a perfect cup of tea.

I will organize the cookbook over the summer and have everyone critique it in the Fall. I could have copies printed inexpensively at Kinkos or Printz Plus, or if there is greater excitement, we could even go to a place like Stell’s book publisher in Canada. I’m guessing that 100 copies would be approximately $1000. Anyone who wanted to have copies to give as holiday gifts or whatever, could just buy as many as you’d like for approximately $10/piece. I don’t care if we go the inexpensive copy route or the bit more luxurious route, and we actually don’t have to decide this until we review the final draft.

More importantly, I think this would be an appetizing treat to pass along to children and/or share with friends. Just an idea for you to stew on.

Who's like us? Damn Few!
