Summer Journal 2012, August 4

Saturday morning.  Four cows out there eating alfalfa.  Somehow a cat got into the house.  We think someone must have dropped it off.  It was a little wild and Stell succeeded in getting it outside.  It is very unusual for cats and dogs to be around our house, unless they are the dogs with the herders.  We are getting reading for the arrival of our family late on Monday.  The house is in good shape and I will make up everyones' beds on Monday. 

We had a nice barbecue with Despina, Georgia and families last night.  Anya and Helena came.  Kostas, Despina's husband, has built a beautiful brick barbecue, so it was inaugurated with the cooking of sausages, pork chops, hamburgers, etc. 

I know this isn't much news, but all's well.  Today we will go for ouzos at Sultana's and Milos and then swim.  I'm really awed with Cole Campbell's essays, so I'll go back to them now while Stell checks his email.
