Summer Journal 2012, August 6th Part II
We know that Paris, Carrie and the kids have landed safely in Thessaloniki, have rented their car, and are now driving toward Ierissos. Kostas met them at the car rental place and helped them get on the right road. We've seen a photo of them and everyone looks great, but Paris' suitcase was lost. I've had it happen a zillion times, and they always find it and I know they will deliver it to Ierissos, probably tomorrow. Kostas gave the airline his phone number, so when it arrives he will see that it gets here. The irony is that Paris always teases me, because I get rattled about my lost suitcases. Now he is going to have a lot more empathy for me. I think I'm going to tell him that he will be forced to wear his Dad's speedos! We have mousakka, peppers in tomato sauce, and rice pudding waiting for them. They should be here in about an hour and a half. Fortunately there are no protests today, and when we went to town to have lunch with Stellios Foras and his wife Katerina, the streets had all been cleaned. All's well, and I'll keep you, dear reader, posted on the recovery of the luggage.
